The Portuguese passenger/cargo vessel Rita Maria, 103m/3.404gt, 70 passengers, completed 11/10/1953 by Companhia União Fabril (AGPL Shipyard), Lisbon, for Sociedade Geral de Comércio, Indústria e Transportes, Lisbon, for its Cape Verde/Guinea Service; 1959 lengthened for 112m/3.749gt and later her service was extended to Angola; 1972 transferred to CNN, Lisbon, due amalgamation of both companies; 03/1978 sold to Socarmar, Lisbon, which converted her in a Tagus estuary lighter; 1991 arrived Alhos Vedros, Tagus estuary, for breaking up.
