The 1956 Monfalcone built tanker SPICA, owned by Garibaldi S.R.L. of Genoa, is seen passing Portishead, outbound from Avonmouth, on a sunny 14th November 1966, i.e. exactly fifty years ago tomorrow.
Built as EMANUELE MORASSO for Navigazione Mercantile SpA, she had been purchased by Garibaldi in 1964. SPICA finally arrived at La Spezia on 10 March 1975 for breaking
