Texaco Maracaibo

Photo courtesy of United States Coast Guard. This is the photocopy of her that I received from USCG. The accompanying letter from their historian said " this is all we have on Texaco Maracaibo." I know this is an awful photocopy but for those of us trying to find out just what kind of disaster she befell in 1965 I thought I should post it for posterity! Does anybody stumbling across this photo remember any details of the incident ? It may have been a grounding or major oil spill in Lake Maracaibo... but we just don't know. Regards, Patalavaca
