Crew members of BALTIC FREEDOM attempt to chip off some of the ice while their ship was upbound on the St.Lawrence River off Verchères on a freezing January 24, 2008.
Her bows and deck are coated with a monumental amount of ice which formed as the result of a fierce North Atlantic winter storm encountered while on her trip from Rotterdam to Montréal.
