History:

24/03/1948: Launched.

14/12/1948: Ran Trials.

01/10/1971: P&O General Cargo Division appointed managers.

19/04/1973: Registered in the ownership of Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Co.

10/03/1976: Sold to Marevico Shipping Co. (Roussos Bros., managers), Cyprus and renamed THIA DESPINA.

09/07/1977: Grounded off Port Said during a voyage from Karachi to Leghorn and sustained considerable bottom damage. After refloating she arrived 12 Jul 1977 at Piraeus where following examination, she was declared a constructive total loss. Reported sold and renamed GEORGIOS FRANGAKIS but never traded, and sold to shipbreakers.
