The Portuguese mini liner PONTA DELGADA built in Lisbon in 1961 for the old Empresa Insulana de Navegação inter-island serviçe in the Azores islands as a feeder ship for the mail ships FUNCHAL and ANGRA do HEROISMO. The Ponta Delgada operated in the Azores from 1962 until October 1984. Sold to COMTRAMAR in 1985 she was modernized for cruising.
