Marama

First ro-ro built for the trans-Tasman trade by Union S.S. Company was the Maheno in April 1969 followed by her sister Marama three months later. Marama is seen here at Bluff near the end of her short life. She made one more visit after being economically renamed Marada and sailed for Kaohsiung where she arrived on 23 MARCH 1985 to be broken up.
