The house flag of the Union Steam Ship Co,Ltd is well known and now only a memory for many seafarers on both sides of the Tasman in NZ and Australia. Like many famous house flags never to fly from a masthead or jackstaff again. The flag shown is from the RO-RO vessel MARAMA (1969) which was liberated from the ship prior to her departure for Taiwan and the breakers yard.The vessel operated on the Trans - Tasman and Pacific Islands service.
