MARKHOR

MARKHOR
Previous Next
MARKHOR and her sister MAHOUT were delivered to T&J Brocklebank in 1963 by Alexander Stephen of Linthouse and were the company/s first motorships for many years. They also had bridge control of the main engine which I think was a first also for them.
Initially they had black hulls but later wore white as in this shot taken in Glasgow in 1972.
MARKHOR was scrapped as KARA UNICORN in 1984. MAHOUT sank in 1982 as EVAGELIA S
