Normally based on the Great Lakes, Canadian Coast Guard light icebreaker/navaids tender GRIFFON is shown on the St.Lawrence River off Verchères on December 10, 2005. She is temporarily assigned to the river to help remove the summer main channel buoys and to replace some of them with spar buoys prior to the forthcoming winter navigation season.
