Portuguese river patrol vessel NRP RIO MINHO (5), 22,4m/72dt, 8 crewmembers; 01/08/1991 completed by NavyÂ’s shipyard Arsenal do Alfeite, Alfeite, Tagus estuary, for Portuguese Navy; She is of low draft and has no propellers nor rudders, Her propulsion and steer are secured by two jets of water, omnidirectionals, which gives her excellent capacity of maneuver and a speed of 9,5knots. She is employed in the International river Minho, patrolling from Caminha up to Valença, north Portuguese border.
Seen berthing at her base of V.N. Cerveira, river Minho on the 01/05/2009 and in the background is the International Bridge V.N. Cerveira (Portugal) /Goyan (Spain).
