Lying off Limassol, Cyprus on her first arrival at the port in Typaldos Lines service. Built 1932 by Federal Shipbuilding and Drydock Co as Santa Paula for Grace Line and later re-named Santa Rosa, she originally had accommodation for 225 1st Class and 65 Tourist Class passengers 9,237 gross tons, 508 foot x 72 foot with a speed of 19 knots In WW II in January 1942 she became a USMC transport and was returned to Grace Line in 1946 |
