She stayed with capacity for 930 in the only class and, as then they would do the "Monserrat" and ?Bego?a? was touching in the British Antilles, where she embarked passengers for Southamptom, port that turned into end of line. On November 6 of this year 1.961, being in the Shipyards Astano de Ferrol, with the object of being repaired, she suffered a fire apparently caused in an electrical connection pannel with connection to earth, and in spite of all the efforts of firemen and brigades counterfires of the Navy and of Baz?n, the "Marques de Comillas " was converted into a jumble of twisted irons. In 1.962, she was sold for scrapping. |
