Achille Lauro's 1940 Belfast built NAPOLI in the North Sea Canal, near Amsterdam, post-1957 when some passenger accommodation was removed.
Delivered to Andrew Weir's Bank Line on 24 October 1940 as ARAYBANK, on 3rd and 16th May 1941, she was bombed in Suda Bay (Crete) and set on fire. On 31 May 1941, the wreck was seized by the Axis powers, raised in 1943 and taken to Trieste. In 1947, she was repaired and delivered to Achille Lauro with passenger accommodation which was removed in 1957. After sailing from Charleston on 26 February 1971 bound for Barletta on the Adriatic and then Porto Empedocle in Sicily, she proceeded to La Spezia on 3rd April 1971 for breaking.
