Assisted by the steam tugs Aucklander and William C. Daldy the Dutch liner Loire Lloyd arrives at Auckland wearing the original Nedlloyd funnel colours. Built in 1967 she became the Nedlloyd Loire in 1977 and was broken up at Chittagong in 1991 having been renamed Loire for her final voyage.
Of the tugs, the William C. Daldy. built in 1935 is in the hands of a preservation society and runs cruises on the Waitemata Harbour, the Aucklander went to Wellington and was converted into a restuarant but I don't know her current status.
