Nissho Maru

Nissho Maru
Previous Next
Although she would only rate as a smallish Suezmax these days when I photographed her at Mina in January 1964 the Nissho Maru, at 132,334 tons deadweight, was the biggest tanker afloat. Completed by Sasebo in 1962 she measured 291 x 43 metres and lasted until 19 October 1978 when she arrived at Kaohsiung to be broken up.
