LUSITANIA

The fine and later tragic Cunarder taking to the water at John Brown's yard on 7th June 1906. She was completed in 1907 and with MAURETANIA provided a luxurious way to cross the Atlantic. Sadly of course after only 8 years of service she was torpedoed off the Old Head of Kinsale within sight of land in May 1915 and sank with the loss of over 1100 souls.
