"Eritrea" is the former Turkish transport "Kaisseri". Built in 1891 as German "Lawang" she was sold to French owners in 1895 and renamed "Dahomé". 1898 British "Dahome". 1910 Turkish "Kaisseri". "Kaisseri" was seized by the Italian cruiser "Puglia" in the Red Sea 16.12.1911. Renamed "Eritrea" by the Regia Marina she was stricken in 1923 and scrapped.
