Built as Moonta for the Adelaide Steamship Co the Lydia is seen here later in her career when employed on service around the Mediterranean lying off Limassol, Cyprus in 1961.
She was built in 1931 by Burmeister & Wain.
Gross tonnage was 2,606 and her measurements were 298 foot x 44 foot. Her diesel propulsion gave a service speed of 13 knots
