Only two bodies were found from the wreck of the coaster HOLMGLEN which foundered off the coast of Timaru in 1959. They were recovered by the Timaru fishing boats NELLA and CRAIGEWAN.Seen here is the NELLA coming into berth with one of the bodies - a crowd gathered to meet the vessel. The wreck was latter examined by the Royal New Zealand Navy using an underwater TV camera and found to be on an even keel.
